Mountains have been the backdrop of my life—the quiet silhouettes behind every season, every choice, every breath. They’ve always been the place I return to when life becomes too loud or too heavy, a steadying ground where I can sort through what the world has handed me.

It’s on the mountaintops that I’m able to look out and see the sweep of my own story—the valleys I’ve walked through, the storms that carved their way across my life, and the unexpected beauty that shaped their height and grandeur. From up there, everything makes a different kind of sense. The hard things soften. The good things shine. And the path forward becomes just a little clearer.

And just as the mountains have given me a place to reflect, to steady myself, and to find a kind of peace I can’t reach anywhere else, books and writing have done the same. They’ve been their own kind of elevation—spaces where I can step back from my life, look out over its shape, and understand what has been carved, softened, or carried forward.

Mountaintop Books is a place to share every aspect of both worlds—the inner landscape of reflection and the outer landscapes that steady us—through writing, imagery, and the natural places where we find peace.

It’s been a dream of mine to have a home for my writing. Through years of trial and error, I’ve learned what that might look like and what my work could become. When I first purchased the domain mountaintopbooks, it was nothing more than a placeholder—a dream, a “maybe someday.” I didn’t yet have a vision for it.

That changed when I realized it could be something I passed down to my children, and someday, their children. A legacy.

My daughter is in college now, studying Creative Writing and Cinema, exploring her own visual and literary voice. She’s an incredible artist, and the more she grows, the more I see pieces of myself reflected in what she creates. She is an apple that does not fall far from its tree.

One day I asked her, “What if we did this together?” And she said, “Well… what if we collaborated on different projects?”

And just like that, Mountaintop Books had meaning.

Mountaintop Books will be a family‑owned legacy. What began as a quiet dream of my own has grown into something shared—owned by myself and my oldest daughter, Aryn. You can visit her bio in the Authors section of the website, and soon each of us will have our own author pages, along with a dedicated space for the books we create over the years.

For a long time, I thought I only needed a space for my own writing. It’s been a joy to discover how much of my family wants to be involved, to add their voices, and to share their own stories—both fiction and nonfiction. What started as a personal dream has become a creative home for all of us.

We’re excited you’re here.
